ELAE

Sabancı University continues to strengthen its ties with Azerbaijan, marking a significant milestone with the English Language Assessment Exam (ELAE) held in the capital city for the first time. Organized by the Sabancı University International Relations Office, the event saw nearly 30 prospective students gather to take the exam.

The event was made possible by the participation of Esra Gün Alayafı and İdil Ertuğan, esteemed faculty members from the Sabancı University School of Languages (SL). Their presence ensured that the examination process adhered to the university's high academic standards.

A Historic First in Azerbaijan

Marking a significant milestone, Sabancı University administered its ELAE (English Language Assessment Exam) on-site in Azerbaijan for the first time. This initiative significantly streamlines the process for State Scholarship applicants, allowing talented local students to fulfill language proficiency requirements and secure funding more efficiently. By bringing the assessment to Baku, the university is making its world-class education more accessible to the brightest minds in the region. The high level of student engagement and excitement highlighted the strong demand for Sabancı University’s world-class education.

Looking Forward

Following the successful completion of the exam, students will have a chance to apply to the State Scholarship program and if selected, study at Sabanci University with their funding covered through the Azerbaijan Ministry of Science and Education. This successful organization sets a new precedent for Sabancı University’s international engagement strategy, promising further collaborations and on-site events in Azerbaijan in the coming academic years.
